6月14日（金）、ノース・テキサス大学で日本語を勉強している８人の学生が、引率の竹内先生と一緒に県大を来訪しました。堀学部長に面会のあと、案内役の県大生11名とiLoungeで対面の上、キャンパス・ツアーを楽しみました。学食でランチをとったあと、午後の部の案内役12名と愛・地球博記念公園の「サツキとメイの家」を見学。最後は地球市民交流センターでみやげ用の文鎮作りをしてから東海市のホストファミリー宅に向かいました。
半日あまりの訪問でしたが、案内役からはぜひノース・テキサス大に留学したいという声がでるほど、楽しい交流になりました。

Campus Visit by Students of the University of North Texas
On June 14, 8 students who study Japanese at the University of North Texas visited our campus with Prof. Takeuchi. They paid a courtesy visit to our Dean and made a tour around the campus led by our students.
After having lunch together at the university cafeteria, they visited the House of Satsuki and Mei in the Expo Memorial Park next to the campus. On the way back they enjoyed a guided walk in the forest and finished their visit by making souvenir paperweights with Japanese paper and stones.
It was a pleasant visit and some of the host students seem to have promised the visitors to meet again in Texas.
